Zusammenfassung: | Coating a porous solidwith an ionic liquid (IL) will always lead to a decrease in the internal surface area and the remaining pore volume. This chapter explains the thickness of the IL layer and the dependence of the layer thickness on pore size (distribution). The influence of the pore‐filling degree on the internal surface area is described. ‐A monolayer with a thickness of 0.5nm is formed at a filling degree of around 10%, and for higher IL loadings, the micro and mesopores are more and more completely blocked. |
