Data‐Oriented Network Architecture (DONA) is the first information‐centric architecture based on clean‐slate concepts for secure and persistent content naming, name‐based routing and content distribution in a hierarchical network. Content‐Centric Networking (CCN) adopts named content as a first‐class citizen, addressing subjects such as high availability and security in a content‐oriented fashion, regardless of location. The Publish‐Subscribe Internet Routing Paradigm (PSIRP) architecture, in contrast to other ICN proposals, specifies a content‐oriented architecture without employing existing connectivity and data transfer technologies. Content‐centric inter‐network (CONET) architecture proposes a new CONET layer that provides users with network access to remote named‐resources rather than to remote hosts. Besides the already presented architectures, there are also other proposals for ICN implementation. |
