Zusammenfassung:A search for fast neutrons induced by the chemical reaction LiD+D 2O has been performed using the pulse shape discrimination technique for neutron identification. Contrary to Arzhannikov and Kezerashvili [Phys. Lett. A 156 (1991) 514] neither continuous nor bunched neutron emission was observed. The upper limit of neutron emission was estimated as ⩽ 2.5 neutrons per gram of deuterized matter during the chemical reaction.
