THE SYSTEMATIC SYNTHESIS OF COMPLEXES CONTAINING MU-CS LIGANDS AS 2-ELECTRON DONORS - THE PREPARATION AND STRUCTURE OF [(CO(ETA-C5H5))2(FE(PPH3)(CO)2)(MU-3-S)(MU-3-CS)]

The eta(2)-(CS)-CS2 ligand in [Fe{PPh3}2(CO)2(eta(2)-CS2)] is cleaved by [Co(eta-C5H5){PPh3}2] at room temperature with formation of [{Co(eta-C5H5)}2{Fe(PPh3)(CO)2}(mu(3)-S)] in which the CS ligand acts as a mu(3) two-electron donor to the Co2Fe triangle.
