Zusammenfassung:	The incidence of the inferior vena cava （IVC） tumor thrombus is reported to be 4%-10% in patients with renal cell carcinoma （RCC）. Tumor thrombus may extend through to the right atrium. Management of patients with level Ⅲ/Ⅳ tumor thrombus is usually difficult. We report two cases of level Ⅳ thrombus in our hospital in 2002 and 2004.
