Zusammenfassung: | The expansion of professional doctorate is an important global phenomenon in the field of doctoral education. From the perspective of educational policy study, the professional doctorate system is an incremental reform of the Ph.D. training system. Professional doctorate has enhanced the authority of application-oriented majors in American universities, increased students' employability, and expanded the scale of enrollment and source of revenue for universities. With the purpose of reforming doctoral training system, some English -speaking countries and non -English -speaking countries have learned this policy successively. However, since the goal of reform differs from country to country, the development status of professional doctorate is varied as well. How to find a unique position beside traditional Ph.D. is a common issue for the development of professional doctorate across the world |
