description A segmented redundant display cell driver interface system and method wherein each of the drivers are totally independent from each other. The system and method provide segmented redundant display cell drive interfaces that drive the display normally in a failure free mode, and that additionally can independently drive a portion of the display in the event of a failure in the drive electronics. With the segmented redundant display cell driver interface, the drive function can be segmented into N independent segments. With N segments, a failure on one of the driver interface boards would cause the loss of 1/Nth of the display, with the remaining display still operational. In the alternative, all the remaining displays could be repositioned by software so that no sub-display information is lost.
