description A motion vector generation apparatus, and a method thereof. The generated final motion vector is used for motion compensation of the current block to be interpolated. Therefore, block artifacts can be prevented by estimating a plurality of motion vectors for motion compensation and adaptively applying the weight to the estimated motion vectors.
