Zusammenfassung:With the experience of more than 6 years of Technical Framework writing and interoperability testing IHE can provide a valuable help to the persons in charge of writing RFPs. How to proceed from a given context and move toward an integrated environment? Integration rarely starts from scratch and usually, RFPs have to take into account the existing context. Integration is usually performed step wise, future steps have to be considered How to identify the actors and the integration profiles to request? IHE covers many domain with a large number of profiles and actors, the speaker will provide an overview of the IHE integration profiles, their application field and their interdependancies. The architect of the information system should be able to easily pick-up the profiles and actors needed to solve his integration problems. Once the needs are identified, how to identify the companies that have the know-how and the products that do match the needs? How can the results of the connectathon can be used and how can they help in finding the right product to solve the integration problem? How to specify in the RFPs the needs expressed by the analysis of the problem? Finally, how to evaluate and quality check the chosen architecture.
