Gender-associated differences in risk were observed in patients with NSTEMI, with adjusted hazard ratios lower in women than men for mortality (hazard ratio 0.90, 95% confidence interval 0.50 to 0.73) and congestive heart failure (hazard ratio 0.61, 95% confidence interval 0.52 to 0.72).
