description The erosion in the stream bank in Al Muwahada channel in Iraq has a great part of the effect that causes failure, retreat, and meandering, which generally occur due to velocity of flow, slope angle, and type of soil. In order to, learn the behavior of bank soil under the effect of erosion and with the change in slope angle. A physical model of a case study was set up in the laboratory. Moreover, two slope angles were manufactured (37°C and 70°C) and supplied with five different velocities for each angle. During each experiment, the deformation in the bank was measured for 12 hours, divided into 4 equal intervals for each velocity. The study revealed that the slope of the 70°C channel bank is more susceptible to erosion than the 37°C of channel bank. The maximum deposition appeared at the point that was nearest to the toe of the bank. Also, the results of the conducted studies have revealed that erosion predominantly impacts the upper third of the channel bank.
