description The main purpose of this research is to assess the effect of different concentrations of copper (1-3 wt%) on the morphological and mechanical characteristics of gray cast iron. A moderate-frequency electrical induction furnace was used to experiment with a 100-kilogram crucible. The findings revealed that pearlite fabrication in the cast microstructure increased as the copper level increased. Incorporating copper reduces the length of graphite flakes while increasing edge roundness. With the addition of more copper, tensile strength and hardness increase while the elongation of cast components marginally decreases. The optimal quantity of copper for good mechanical and microstructural characteristics is determined to be three wt%.
