This study attempts to analyse the use of ICT tools in the teaching of ESL writing skills in modern classrooms. Online learning provides students to learn anywhere without the need of physical classroom. A qualitative research design was used to analyse the uses of ICT tools from the sample of 50 undergraduate students in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. The skill of writing is used on daily basis to communicate what one deliberates and feels. This study aims to find out how the use of technology enhances writing abilities in the language classroom. New advancements of technology are being produced each day and teachers need to integrate these technologies into modern classrooms effectively. By integrating technology, educationalists are providing more prospects and strategies to increase their student’s abilities to write more comprehensive and grammatically correct sentences, essays, stories and letters.
