description | In recent years, the Internet has seen a fast development revolution. In contrast, the Internet expands from the web to real physical objects, suggesting the new meaning known as the Internet of Things, rather than simply connecting personal computers, mobile devices, and wearable gadgets (IoT). This idea is used in a variety of fields, including healthcare, education, commerce, and agriculture. IoT appliances are provided with batteries in order to be independent of electric current; accordingly, their working period is defined by the duration of these batteries’ power. In a large number of IoT devices, data from IoT appliances is extremely important and should be absolutely encrypted using “lightweight” algorithms; in this case, the proposed “Modified PRESENT” algorithm is shown, this algorithm has characteristics that make it suitable to be programmed devices with small memory and reduced sizes; many tests have been performed; By using structured Python programming language, a set of tests and performance measurements are used to validate their functioning and some parameters of interest. |
