Zusammenfassung:This research aims to describe the mathematical reasoning ability of junior high school students in solving mathematics story problems with indicators of proposing conjectures, performing mathematical manipulations, drawing conclusions compiling evidence, and finding patterns or properties of from mathematical of symptoms in making generalizations. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in the study were 6 students of class VII consisting of 3 female students and 3 male students with high, medium, and low abilities. Results research shows that in high-ability students, female subjects met the indicators of proposing conjectures, performing mathematical manipulations, drawing conclusions and finding patterns or properties of from mathematical of symptoms in making generalizations, while male subjects met the indicators of proposing conjectures, performing mathematical manipulations, and finding patterns or properties of from mathematical of symptoms in making generalizations. For medium-ability students, female subject met the indicators of proposing conjectures, performing mathematical manipulations, drawing conclusions and finding patterns or properties of from mathematical of symptoms in making generalizations, while male subject only met indicators of proposing conjectures. For low-ability students, female subject only met the indicators of proposing conjectures, while male subject did not meet the indicators.
