Zusammenfassung:The paper considers the possibility of changing the design of the electrodes of the system to transfer the vacuum-arc installation from the coating spraying mode to the surface purification mode. By controlling the motion of the cathode spots on the surface of the processed product it is possible to achieve the process of removing surface contamination. The surface treated in this way is characterized by the presence of a passivating film that protects the metal from corrosion and increases the adhesive adhesion in the case of further deposition of a coating layer.
