Zusammenfassung:Basketball is one of the most competitive sports played in every part of the world. Surface plays a major role in the basketball which creates an impact over player performance. Performance is calculated by their acceleration, jumping and sprinting. Plyometric training performed on sand is reported to have positive outcome on skills like jumping and sprinting. The objective of this research is to study the varied effects of plyometric training in ground and Beach sand. It is a quazi experimental study with convenient sampling of 60 basketball players. The players were splitted into 2 groups with 30 participants in each group. Group A carried out plyometric training protocol on ground (Firm surface) parallely Group B carried out the same plyometric training protocol on Beach sand. Vertical Jump Test& 50 yard dash test were used as outcome measure to assess the Vertical Jump capacity and speed of the athletes. After 6 weeks of plyometric training protocol, Group B showed significant difference in vertical jump test (p< 0.005) along with significant value of (p>0.005) in 50-yard dash test. After conducting 6 weeks of plyometric training protocol participants in both the group had improvement but Group B showed significant improvement than Group A,
