Zusammenfassung:The insulators are made of ceramics, porcelain, and glass. This material has a mechanical disadvantage such as weight and hygroscopic, which is easier to cause the surface to leak when it causes flashover. This research manufactured insulators based on epoxy resin because it has dielectric properties, better volume resistivity, better thermal properties, lighter construction, hydrophobic, and good chemical resistance. To determine the electrical feasibility of the research object. In order to determine the electrical feasibility of the object of research then we use several parameters. These parameters measure creepage distance, arc distance, and breakdown voltage referring to SPLN_D3.027-2:2016, insulation resistance testing referring to VDE (catalog 228/4), direct high voltage testing. In the study of the creepage distance of 695 mm and 358 mm for arc distance, testing of insulation resistance with results >1,000,000 MΩ. High Voltage DC testing voltage 35 kV measured leakage current 2.5 µA and breakdown voltage testing dry condition insulators reaching 100 kV for 60 seconds, and flashover at 90 kV for wet conditions at SPLN_D3.027-2:2016 flashover in wet conditions is 65 kV. From the results of the research parameters, the insulator on the research object is included in the feasibility category.
