New aspects of application the egalitarian approach in optimization modelling multimodal freight transportation

A general approach has been developed in the study of the organization of the process of railway cargo transportation carried out within the framework of multimodal transport systems. In theoretical terms, the approach is based on the synthesis of the ideas of egalitarianism and utilitarianism, which makes it possible to build optimization models of freight transportation in order to comprehensively study their economic and organizational effectiveness. The optimization algorithm, accompanied by the implementation in the environment of the analytical calculations system, has a general structure and can be applied to VMLT. Along with finding the optimal Pareto transportation plans, the developed method allows you to find other plans that also achieve a certain balance of interests of various participants in the transportation process.
