Zusammenfassung: | The paper is devoted to the study of operability of Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) sensors embedded in concrete cylindrical sample under uniaxial compressive load. The data received from FBG sensors was compared with surface mounted strain gauges. Also the reliability of the FBG readings was established. During long period of time (more than one year) the integrity and optical properties of fiber-optic sensors were tested. A distinctive feature of this study was that fiber-optic line, which was embedded into sample at the manufacturing stage, did not have any special protective coatings only traditional polyimide protective coating. |
