description | Excessive stress levels become one of the psychological problems happening in human being. Based on WHO database in 2013, 5-10% world population have depression issue and reached 17-27% in Indonesian people. Recently, antidepressant drugs are used to solve the stress problems that could make anyone get abused. Excessive stress level in an individual can cause increased risk of hypertension, stroke, and the other diseases. Moreover, the productivity level could disturb by that condition. The purpose of this study is to provide a solution for handling excessive stress level in individuals using brainwave stimulators that could increase alpha brainwaves. By using brainwave stimulator, it was expected that excessive stress problem that commonly treated by medicine consumption could be reduced. So, the problem of drug abuse did not arise. The stimulator used a blinking white LED with 9 Hz in frequency and binaural beats with 209 Hz right tone and 200 Hz left tone. This stimulator was tested on 3 normal stress level subjects based on DASS-21, normal vital health parameters, and regular sleep patterns. Each treatment carried out for 30 minutes in this test. From this study, it was known that stimulators could increase Alpha brainwave power to 60,00±0,33%, 84,00±0,42%, and 151±1,06% in three normal subjects. |
