description Solid waste management is one of the challenges to develop a clean and sustainable environment in various countries. Increasing production of solid waste will need proper processing technology. Economic development and waste composition in a country will affect the choice of applied technology. The reliable waste processing technology of a country is analyzed based on the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the country and the existing organic and inorganic composition. Several high GDP countries use thermal source and waste to produce energy, while middle and low GDP countries use organic waste for recycling and landfill purposes. Alternative technologies were compared to get the best waste treatment technology based on the requirement of TPST Piyungan, Yogyakarta. Economic development analysis was made using the Willingness to Accept (WTA) simulation, while the calculation of the value of the waste processing technology satisfaction was calculated using Green Quality Function Deployment (GQFD) representing the combined of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Green Function Deployment (GFD). Additionally, less objective criteria (LOC) were used to make the right choice of several alternatives. The results of the GQFD showed that the satisfaction scores of the incinerator, product gasification, pyrolysis, and RDF were 751.1, 660.6, 647.6, and 653.2. The results of the LOC showed that the incinerator was the best waste processing technology to apply in TPST Piyungan, Yogyakarta.
