description | Boriçi - Creutz fermions, as minimally doubled fermions, are a kind of local lattice
fermions which preserve chiral symmetry but break the hyper - cubic symmetry. In our
previous works we have shown the effects of this broken symmetry in the light hadrons
spectrum, and also have proposed a method of how to restore it partially for BC fermions
using the chiral condensate. The methodology proposed seems very effective, with low
computational costs and the taken results confirmed the partial restauration of the hyper
- cubic symmetry. What we want to test is the effect of this restauration in the light
hadrons spectrum. In this work we present some preliminary results of the calculations of
the pion mass, in two different lattice directions, using the same conditions in which we
have restored the hyper - cubic symmetry. So, we have worked in the quenched
approximation, in a background of 100 gauge configurations, β = 6, in a 244
lattice and for the counterterm value of c3 = 0.4. The results show that the
pion mass is almost the same in the two different directions, considering the small
lattice and statistical errors, a sign that confirm the partial restauration of the hyper
- cubic symmetry.
