Simplified aerodynamically stabilized cathode for longitudinal discharge lasers

A single cathode of arbitrary size and shape in conjunction with downstream, sonic radial gas injection has demonstrated significant enhancement in performance over much more complicated aerodynamically stabilized cathodes applicable to convective flow CO lasers at low temperatures.
