Em casa de vegetação, os genótipos foram inoculados separadamente com seis raças, previamente identificadas do patógeno. No campo, foi realizada uma inoculação com uma mistura das seis raças em uma linha suscetível utilizada como fonte de inóculo. Nove genótipos foram totalmente resistentes às seis raças inoculadas em casa de vegetação. Alta resistência dilatória foi identificada nos genótipos CMSXS169 e CMSXS373.
