We describe a method for creating robust and stable core-shell polymer microspheres decorated with inorganic (IO) nanoparticles (NPs) by a self-organization process and heterocoagulation using a mussel-inspired polymer adhesive layer between the IO NPs and the microspheres. A novel method for creating stable polymer microspheres decorated with inorganic nanoparticles using a mussel-inspired adhesive layer is reported.
