The quality of the included literature was assessed using the Cochrane risk assessment tool, and data were analyzed using the Review Manager 5.4 software.
Plyometric training had significant effects on the performance of adolescent athletes in countermovement jump (MD = 2.74, 95% CI: 1.62, 3.85,
< 0.01), squat jump (MD = 4.37, 95% CI: 2.85, 5.90,
< 0.01), standing long jump (MD = 6.50, 95% CI: 4.62, 8.38,
< 0.01), 10-m sprint (MD = -0.04, 95% CI: -0.08, -0.00,
= 0.03), and 20-m sprint (MD = -0.12, 95% CI: -0.20, -0.04,
= 0.03); all had positive and statistically significant effects (
< 0.05).
