Linguistic Analysis of Internet Media and Social Network Data in the Problems of Social Transformation Assessment

A combined approach has been developed to estimate the effectiveness of social transformations as a measure of inconsistency between the actions of the authorities and the expectations of society and the synergy (social activity) of people, based on formalized coordination of the results obtained by the method of expert assessments and methods of sentiment analysis and intelligent analysis of text messages from online open sources and social networks. These methods are implemented as a set of web services and applications in the development environment of the Advanced Analytics integrated online platform of the World Data Center “Geoinformatics and Sustainable Development.” The effectiveness of the proposed approach is demonstrated by a quantitative assessment of the attitude of the population of Ukraine to the actions of the authorities concerned with the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
