The pooled positive- and negative-likelihood ratios were 4.65 (95% CI, 3.42-6.33) and 0.33 (95% CI, 0.24-0.47), respectively. The diagnostic odds ratio value was 14.03 (95% CI, 7.65-25.74), and the area under the summary receiver operator characteristic curve was 0.87. The present results indicated that miR-21 has a potential diagnostic value with moderate sensitivity and good specificity for CRC. Further prospective studies must be conducted to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of miR-21. |
