A practical approach to timing cord clamping in resource poor settings
There is little agreement among doctors and midwives about the optimal time to clamp the umbilical cord after birth. However, in resource-poor settings, delaying clamping of the umbilical cord is a cheap and effective strategy to reduce infant anemia and improve child survival.
