Zusammenfassung:Transglutaminase-catalyzed isopeptide bond formation in human cell homogenates was inhibited by putrescine. Limitation of putrescine biosynthesis in proliferating cells by 1, 3-diaminopropanol resulted in growth inhibition and increased cellular isopeptide content. A correlation of isopeptide content, polyamine levels, and the proliferative state was found.
