Those obtained from seafish, shellfish or their cooking utensils did not produce any detectable amount of the toxin. Based on these findings, the role of the toxin was discussed in causing diarrhea in the case of gastroenteritis due to Kanagawa-negative Vibrio parahaemolyticus.
