statistics were employed to summarize and analyze data, respectively; the significance level was set at p < 0.05. Results. The prevalence of WMSDs among the respondents was 21.2%. The annual prevalence of the various WMSD domains was lower back pain (34%), neck pain (18.9%), upper back pain (22.3%), shoulder pain (18.2%), knee pain (14.9%), ankle pain (17%), wrist pain (7.5%), elbow pain (7.5%) and hip/thigh pain (15.1%). χ

analysis showed that age (p = 0.006), marital status (p = 0.027) and educational level (p = 0.018) were significantly associated with prevalence of WMSDs. The majority of the drivers (92.5%) had no ergonomic training while 77.4% did not seek treatment. Conclusions. Adequate sensitization on health-seeking behavior and coping strategies through seminars and workshops should be conducted to improve health-seeking behavior and coping strategies of occupational drivers.</description><identifier>ISSN: 1080-3548</identifier><identifier>EISSN: 2376-9130</identifier><identifier>DOI: 10.1080/10803548.2020.1834233</identifier><identifier>PMID: 33034261</identifier><language>eng</language><publisher>England: Taylor & Francis</publisher><subject>annual prevalence ; Cross-Sectional Studies ; Ergonomics ; Humans ; Musculoskeletal Diseases - epidemiology ; Nigeria - epidemiology ; Nordic musculoskeletal questionnaire ; Occupational Diseases - epidemiology ; occupational drivers ; Prevalence ; Risk Factors ; Surveys and Questionnaires ; work-related musculoskeletal disorders</subject><ispartof>International journal of occupational safety and ergonomics, 2022-01, Vol.28 (1), p.572-580</ispartof><rights>2021 Central Institute for Labour Protection - National Research Institute (CIOP-PIB) 2021</rights><lds50>peer_reviewed</lds50><woscitedreferencessubscribed>false</woscitedreferencessubscribed><citedby>FETCH-LOGICAL-c366t-b51633c22e9b8abf497e7f7b4fa1e413166ddb85371b3debc220ff47ce5a2c0b3</citedby><cites>FETCH-LOGICAL-c366t-b51633c22e9b8abf497e7f7b4fa1e413166ddb85371b3debc220ff47ce5a2c0b3</cites><orcidid>0000-0003-3921-3006 ; 0000-0003-1448-1768 ; 0000-0002-7939-5660 ; 0000-0003-4540-962X ; 0000-0001-6824-195X ; 0000-0002-7797-7050 ; 0000-0003-1588-1421</orcidid></display><links><openurl>$$Topenurl_article</openurl><openurlfulltext>$$Topenurlfull_article</openurlfulltext><thumbnail>$$Tsyndetics_thumb_exl</thumbnail><link.rule.ids>314,776,780,27903,27904</link.rule.ids><backlink>$$Uhttps://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/33034261$$D View this record in MEDLINE/PubMed$$Hfree_for_read</backlink></links><search><creatorcontrib>Maduagwu, Stanley M.</creatorcontrib><creatorcontrib>Galadima, Nasir M.</creatorcontrib><creatorcontrib>Umeonwuka, Chuka I.</creatorcontrib><creatorcontrib>Ishaku, Cornelius M.</creatorcontrib><creatorcontrib>Akanbi, Olutunde O.</creatorcontrib><creatorcontrib>Jaiyeola, Olabode A.</creatorcontrib><creatorcontrib>Nwanne, Chiamaka Ann</creatorcontrib><title>Work-related musculoskeletal disorders among occupational drivers in Mubi, Nigeria</title><title>International journal of occupational safety and ergonomics</title><addtitle>Int J Occup Saf Ergon</addtitle><description>Background.
