Zusammenfassung: | Service providers are looking to rebound after two very difficult years, but their most pressing need is to find a way to cope with the continued business slowdown. Meanwhile, customers are wondering which service providers can be relied upon to deliver essential network service; indeed, which service providers will survive. The underlying problem is that the service providers have been operating with very high cost structures for years, although these costs have been masked by rapid business expansion and strong revenue. An effective way to drive cost out of the service provider's business, would be for them to optimize their existing environment - including the necessary people, processes, systems, and network technology - while planning a migration path to a better-designed, more efficient and less expensive future environment. |
