MetLife Seeks $5B Funding For Acquisition

On September 10, 1999, lead arrangers and book managers Chase Manhattan and Credit Suisse First Boston launched into market a $5 billion credit facility for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. Proceeds from the deal will be used to fund the borrower's acquisition of GenAmerican Corp.
