Zusammenfassung:Soon after identification of novel influenza A (H1N1) virus infections in the US in mid-April 2009, Center for Disease Control provided interim recommendations to reduce the risk for transmission in health-care settings. Here, Harriman et al detail on CDC's solicited reports of infected health-care personnel (HCP) from state health departments to better understand the risk for acquiring infection with the virus among HCP and the impact of infection-control recommendations. An editorial note is presented.
