Zusammenfassung: | Inside busy accounting firms, nothing is more important than good communication. Communication is a broad topic, and successful CPAs must keep tabs on communication activities going many directions. While recently reading a blog on the Harvard Business Review, the author was reminded of a means of communication that was used in the past in large corporate organizations -- the executive dining room. What he likes about the executive dining room scenario is that it kept the communication flowing at a high level inside the organization. When leaders frequently meet and eat together, the disadvantage is that while they engage in that activity, they miss critical communications from the nonpartners in their firm. He has found that the leadership in many CPA firms is exclusive vs. inclusive. In this age of being connected to others at every minute of the day via a mobile device, it is important to use social media and technology to enhance communication. |
