Both activating and inhibitory Fc gamma receptors mediate rituximab-induced trogocytosis of CD20 in mice

Highlights ► The role of FcγR in rituximab-induced trogocytosis of CD20 was studied in mice. ► We found redundant role for activating mouse FcγR in trogocytosis of CD20. ► The inhibitory FcγRIIB could also mediate in trogocytosis. ► Loss of CD20 impaired subsequent complement mediated killing ex viv...

Zusammenfassung:Highlights ► The role of FcγR in rituximab-induced trogocytosis of CD20 was studied in mice. ► We found redundant role for activating mouse FcγR in trogocytosis of CD20. ► The inhibitory FcγRIIB could also mediate in trogocytosis. ► Loss of CD20 impaired subsequent complement mediated killing ex vivo . ► Lowering rituximab dose may prevent trogocytosis while preserving anti-tumor effect.
