Acceptable agreement of the original and the reconstructed neutron spectra has been achieved. ► Diamond detector neutron response function is developed. ► We research the problem of original spectra reconstruction. ► Diamond detector operation is demonstrated in the experiment with Am-Be source. ► Reconstruction of neutron spectrum in 0.5 MeV–10.7 MeV range is calculated.
