New copolymer products from cyclic carbonates and isocyanate-containing compounds

The anionic copolymerization of cyclic carbonates with aromatic and aliphatic diisocyanates is studied. The macro- and supramolecular structures of the resulting copolymer are determined. It is demonstrated that the strength and elasticity of the copolymer can be varied for various purposes.
