Zusammenfassung: | International control programmes The feasibility of conducting mass vaccination campaigns led those concerned by the continuing seriousness of the rinderpest situation in Africa to conceive and implement the first major internationally coordinated programme, Joint Project 15 (JP15), which ran from 1962 to 1977 in sub-Saharan Africa. Indirect benefits are many and include developments in surveillance, epidemiological understanding, vaccines and vaccine quality assurance, and service delivery systems for remote areas. |
