Zusammenfassung:The purpose of this study is to quantitatively evaluate the economic ripple effects generated by the application of the Regional Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (Regional HACCP) at Shibetsu Town, Hokkaido, Japan. In order to grasp the impact of Regional HACCP, an interview with fisheries cooperative was conducted. Also, in addition to the effect of eco-tourism, the quantitative effect of Regional HACCP is surveyed from changes in sales volume after eco-tourism and from price differences for female salmon with Buna-B grade at Shibetsu. The total increase of the Economic Ripple Effects (ERE) and the total increase of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) were 130 million yen and 55 million yen, respectively. The increase of ERE and GDP brought by the price increase for female salmon was relatively low by comparison with that brought by increased participation in eco-tourism.
