Zusammenfassung: | Following the idea of the vowel pattern, we designed an experiment on the Spanish vowel pronunciation articulated by Chinese students whose first foreign language is English & second foreign language is Spanish. The aim of the research is to investigate the transfer of mother tongue & the first foreign language in the learning of the second foreign language. Positive transfer, negative transfer & zero- transfer are found. Mother tongue & the first foreign language both transfer the vowel pronunciation of the second foreign language.
