Easy Readers

This set of readers contains A. Gaidar's "Chuk i Gek," Y. Kazakov's "Goluboe i zelenoe [and] Nekrasivaya: Dva rasskaza" (The Blue and the Green Ugly One: Two Stories), B. Laskin's "Spasibo za vnimanie: Yumoristicheskie rasskazy" (Thank You for Your Attention: Humorous Stories), & L. Tolstoi's "Khozyain i rabotnik" (The Boss and the Worker). Accompanying the readers is a frequency-controlled vocabulary correlated with entries in the dictionary for easy reference. Series A contains 1000 words, while series B, represented by a collection of seven short stories, contains 1800 words. Series C, in two volumes, contains 2400 words. The stories in the series are recommended for students who have completed a basic Russian course, & will be enjoyable reading. The Dictionary contains 2400 entries, & is more a word list with glosses than an actual dictionary. The entries are correlated with the readers (each is marked A, B or C) for easy reference.
