THE CIVIL AND CANON LAW IN ENGLAND
BEFORE beginning to trace the influence which the Civil and Canon Law, during the course of many centuries, has exercised over the law of this country, and over the procedure of our law courts, it will, perhaps, be as well to state in the first place what is meant by the terms Civil and Canon Law.
