Zusammenfassung:A miniature continuous culture apparatus is described which allows production of plaque on the surface of pH and Eh electrodes under continuous culture conditions. Continuous monitoring of pH and Eh of uninterrupted plaque was possible and the application of the apparatus to the study of plaque, salivary sediments and saliva collected from man is suggested. Plaque resembling that produced in an artificial mouth and that observed in vivo was developed in this apparatus in 8 hr.
