Effects of benzydroflumethiazide (naturetin) on the renal excretion of calcium and magnesium by dogs

The intravenous administration of benzydroflumethiazide (BHFT) to dogs evoked marked increases in the renal excretion of sodium, enhanced much less the elimination of potassium, but had no significant effect on the excretion of calcium or magnesium.
