PRELIMINARY EXPERIENCE WITH A CIRCUIT TO INCREASE THE AIRWAYS PRESSURE IN ADULTS BREATHING SPONTANEOUSLY

A circuit is described which prevents the airways pressure from decreasing to less than atmospheric pressure in adult patients breathing spontaneously. Seven case histories are reported and the results of this type of therapy are discussed.
