Enzymic modification of cyclopropane sterols in yeast cell-free systems
Cycloartenol, cycloeucalenol and 24‐methylene pollinastanol have been incubated in a yeast cell‐free system. Esters of the substrates are formed but there is no evidence of enzymatic cyclopropane cleavage.
