Zusammenfassung: | Two cases of fruit juice erosion of teeth are described and the differential diagnosis of erosion, abrasion, attrition, and arrested caries is discussed. Individuals susceptible to erosion are defined on the basis of fluid intake and salivary gland function. Attention is drawn to evidence of a fourfold increase in fruit juice consumption since 1956 and the possibility is raised that this may result in an increased incidence of erosion. |
